When Datatek first started in this industry, it was primarily a copier repair company. Datatek’s employees were all service technicians, including the owner. Later, Datatek starting selling reconditioned copiers to its own customer base. This was requested by Datatek’s customers. They were pleased with Datatek’s service but their requirements had changed. In some cases, due to the age of their machines, parts were no longer available.
This was beneficial for Datatek and to its customers. Why? Because we have technicians that service literally all makes and models of machines. Datatek’s staff knew what brands and models provided the best most reliable service.
This is why Datatek offers the best warranties in the industry. Datatek gave a full year on its used/ reconditioned equipment while our competitors offered only 30 days. Datatek has complete confidence in everything it sells. Even on new machines, Datatek has at a least one - year warranty. Other companies typically offer 90 day warranties.
As time passed, Datatek decided it needed to take on a dealership. We had a choice of many manufacturers to choose from. It was not an easy decision as there are many quality brands. After a year and a half of testing, Datatek decided that there were none better than the products that Samsung Electronics offered. Pricing, features and reliability - they have it all.
